Each year Northern Lights School of Dance produces a full-length version of The Nutcracker which is performed annually in Whitehorse and now Dawson City.

Approximately 50 Northern Lights School of Dance ballet students are selected through auditions to participate in this much-loved Christmas performance. Auditions are held in September and rehearsals begin shortly thereafter.
